Tricks can vary according to age, audience size and whether it's an indoor or outdoor show. But the following will give you an idea of the type of tricks involved.
Eugene tries to assemble a magic box but it keeps falling apart, landing on his fingers etc. Do the kids ask him if he’s okay? Of course not; they just laugh their heads off. Lots of slapstick, culminating in the appearance of a real live dove from the assembled box.
These are two related tricks involving cartoon animals. The kids are convinced the magician is lying and lose no time in telling him so. Cover your ears; there will be noise.
Tearing up a newspaper and restoring it is one of the most magical effects ever. Now it’s even better because a child gets to tear the paper.
VASE ON HEAD
This trick is so dramatic that it causes the kids to at times, watch intently in absolute silence. At other parts the audience sing along loudly. Great entertainment.
Balloons aren’t just for making animals. They’re also great fun, giving rise to countless gags, slapstick and situation comedy. Add to this a touch of magic in the form of a live dove and you’ve got a great routine suitable for all ages.
THE KETCHUP BOTTLE TRICK
Tricks that use everyday objects always go down well. In this trick a ketchup bottle first shrinks and is then “squished”. Kids will often grab the nearest cushion just in case the ketchup spills on them. This is a really fun trick.
